🪴 Reasons your garden wants ALPACA poo over other options
1. “Cold” manure (won’t burn plants)
Unlike chicken or horse manure, alpaca manure is low in nitrogen in a way that makes it safe to apply directly to plants without composting first. That means less risk of damaging roots.
2. Easy to use—no composting required
Because it’s mild and breaks down quickly, you can spread it straight onto garden beds as a top dressing or mix it into soil.
3. Slow-release nutrients
It provides a balanced supply of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium over time, feeding plants steadily instead of all at once.
4. Improves soil structure
The pellet form helps aerate soil and improves water retention, especially in sandy or compacted soils.
5. Low odor
Compared to many other manures, alpaca droppings have very little smell, making them pleasant to handle and use near the house.
6. Weed-seed friendly (in a good way)
Alpacas have a very efficient digestive system, so fewer w**d seeds survive the process—meaning less chance of introducing w**ds into your garden.
7. Great for compost boosting
Even though you can use it raw, it’s also excellent in compost piles because it helps heat things up and speeds decomposition.
8. Environmentally efficient animal
Alpacas produce less waste overall than larger livestock and are gentle on pasture land, so their manure is part of a more sustainable cycle.
