Another fun little discovery inside the Greyline Station, was Chef Li's Private Kitchen at The Market Kitchen
We had never tried an empanada before, so naturally our attitude was basically: “Well… guess we better Put It In Our Mouth.” 😅
We split the Philly Cheesesteak empanada of the month, and honestly? Really good. The crust reminded me of a pot pie crust somehow soft and crunchy at the same time and cooked perfectly. The filling was cheesy, savory, and packed way more flavor than I expected from something this simple.
Now let’s talk about the red marker line across it. 😂 I had NO idea edible markers were a thing for labeling pre-made food, so when I first saw it I was immediately like “…can I get one without marker on it?” Turns out it’s completely normal and edible. I’m still not fully convinced “edible” means “I want to snack on Sharpie seasoning,” but now I know. Next time I’ll probably just pinch that little part off and keep rolling. 🤣
Definitely something we’d grab again.
