John & Doreen fighting false claims in store front eviction

Hello Friends,
AS SOME OF YOU KNOW, the building at 158 Church Street, Montrose, that Venice To Madrid holds a leased space in has recently sold. The new building owner from New York State has filed two insidiously false claims in an effort to terminate our lease in 30 days. We will not be treated like bags of garbage to be thrown to the curb.We intend to fight tooth and nail and have no intention of backing down. We fight for every small business who pays their way and just wants to do what they do best.

We moved into this space two years ago having left behind our on farm restaurant LUNA to become an integral part of this small town life and participate in the Church Street Marketplace, Montrose, Pennsylvania at the same location. We intend to keep you posted throughout this ordeal and thank you so much for supporting our small business we work so hard at and could use your support now more than ever. Please spread the word.

We have decided to take a break from the farmers market to focus on both our new restaurant, Venice To Madrid and cafe, Toast. And will return to the 2024 Winter Market.

If you’d like to a get our live culture kombucha, we will be open soon at our kindred souls cafe, TOAST, in Montrose PA at Church Street Marketplace, Montrose, Pennsylvania, which will also have coffee, foodie food, wine, fresh bread, select books and journals along with poetry readings, book clubs, writer talks, and readings, music, sing-a-longs, movie night, a podcast and some.
