📣 It is Agriculture Council of America: National Ag Day! We thank and celebrate all of you dreamers, makers, planners, and doers of all things farming, ranching, preserving, and planting.

💕 Choosing that life is not for the faint of heart; rain, shine, sleet, and snow...sometimes all in the same day, can be more than most could endure.

🌱 Just over 15 years ago, we purchased our land from John and Cynthia Kennay; an amazing farming family! John is pictured here (top left) in the center with his father and brother. We remain so grateful for the care they gave to both the agricultural acreage and also the preserved (WRP) wetlands and prairie, the bulk of the land that comprises Nomia Meadows Farm.

🍎 With a mere 110 acres, about 60 apple trees, and 50 beehives, we are mere hobby farmers. The time, love, planning, and work we put into Nomia is but a glimpse into what full-time growing, farming, and ranching is like. For starters, does that piece of equipment, implement, or vehicle you need always have to break right when you need it?😎
