Using beets to color our dough, the seasonal ravioli is filled with the same creamy cheese filling you have come to know and love in all of our cheese filled pastas. Sold in packs of 12, the adorable ♥️ can be paired with any of our homemade tomato sauces, or create your own for a lovely Valentine's Day appetizer. Or pair with a salad 🥗 and prosecco 🥂 for a light romantic meal.

Yes, it's true: today is National Spaghetti Day! 🍝

The word spaghetti is plural for the Italian word spaghetto, which is a diminutive of spago, meaning “thin string” or “twine.”

And we love our spaghetti for how it lends itself to twirling around a fork and capturing bits of whatever sauce you've chosen to add in. Garlic and oil, puttanesca, marinara sauce, or just plain butter and cheese.

Ravioli, Taglatielle, Tortellini oh my! It’s World Pasta Day! 🎉

I feel so lucky 🍀 that my passion for pasta 🍝 is celebrated throughout the world today. Here's a brief history lesson from our friends at about World Pasta Day...

“While legend has it that Marco Polo imported pasta from China in the 1200s, British food writer Jane Grigson believes a Canadian spaghetti company may have started that tale in the 1920s. We do know that dried pasta surged in popularity during the 14th and 15th centuries — mainly for its easy storage. This allowed people to bring pasta along on ships when exploring the New World.

Hungary boasted a pasta factory in 1859, while central Italy’s Buitoni Company began churning out pasta a mere eight years later. The trend moved into the present-day Czech Republic by 1884. During a stay in Paris, President Jefferson ate what he called “macaroni,” but it might have been any type of pasta. He eventually returned to America with two cases. Pasta’s popularity further blossomed in the U.S. during the late 19th century, when a large group of Italian immigrants (mostly from Naples), moved to America.

Even if you don't get your pasta from us join me from afar in making a heaping bowl of your favorite pasta and sit with your family or community of friends and enjoy this food that brings comfort, sustenance and a happy belly and heart! 😋
