It’s been a long, joyful road getting KK Pork to where it is today. What started with selling show pigs eventually grew into sharing pork with so many of you.

It’s a bittersweet moment. Our last pig is heading to the freezer, bringing this chapter of KK Pork to a close (at least for now).

We’ll be offering our final round of KK Pork retail cuts along with one last order of KK hats soon, so stay tuned!

Thank you to every customer who supported a girl with a love for pigs and people and helped turn that dream into reality!

We have one Berkshire cross hog available. An appointment is scheduled for McLean Beef in York, Nebraska, on February 19th.

The demand for pork – already the most-consumed meat – is expected to increase 37% by 2025. Recent facility investments have boosted the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's capacity to study animal health and production efficiency.

“Interest and momentum in swine research are growing at UNL, and that is in part due to their importance for agriculture in the state, and nationally and internationally,” said Husker reproductive physiologist Amy Desaulniers.

The investment was made possible by a partnership with the Nebraska Pork Producers.
