Here are three brothers from a single mating I through together this past spring. They’re almost finished pushing feathers but I would say it’s safe to say this same pen will be back in the mating pens this coming season!

Today was the first chicken show of the season! I only took two birds to show as all of my birds are still molting or growing. Both of these birds are almost finished coming back in from molt but I was able to place 1st crele hen both shows and took reserve variety each time. The BB c**k was in a big class and took 4th the second show. So far this was a great start to the season!

BB Reds sure take their time to finish but I am definitely going to keep a close eye on this little guy and patiently wait to see how he turns out.

Some of my oldest bb reds are starting to come along nicely. My fingers are crossed that they will be ready for the Old English Jamboree Nationals in NC and Ohio Nationals this November! I still have another 20 or so BB c**kerels coming along followed by a handful of crele c**kerels.
