Eggciting day here!! I set 2 incubators full of eggs! One has all Black Copper, Wheaten, and Blue Wheaten Marans. The other has a mixture of Self Blue Ameraucanas, Black Ameraucanas, Golden Laced Polish, Mille Fleur D'Uccles, different varieties of frizzles!! Now the loooooong 21 day wait!!

I am feeling especially grateful today to Dolores Fegan. As most of you probably know from my mom's post, I lost my favorite hen, Ethyl Jean. I am so grateful to have her image quilted on my banner to remember her forever. Thank you again Mrs. Fegan for such a special treasure!!

Today Mom and I performed our first "surgery" together. Poor Yosemite Sam!! I'm pretty sure I heard him mutter, "I HATE YOU!"
Hopefully he will heal quickly and forgive us.

Well...the total eclipse ruffled feathers for sure!! My poor kids had no idea what was going on or what to do. Some went to roost; most flocked around us, got really quiet and crouched down like a predator was going get them. The whole farm was eerily quiet and still. How cool was this???

Rosco P. Crowtrane had a great show!! He was Best of Breed and Best Continental. Miss Beverly was right behind him as Reserve of Breed!! ..aaaaand...Odessa won Best of her Breed, Best AOSB, and Champion Large Fowl AND CHAMPION OVER ALL OF SHOW!!!!
