In light of the recent detainment of employees from our neighboring farm, we feel compelled to publicly express our unwavering support. We stand in solidarity with Pleasant Valley and strongly encourage the community to reach out to their legislative representatives to voice their support as well.
It’s a reality, farms rely on workers to get the crops in, to milk the cows and service equipment. Without this labor industry, there is a break in the supply chain. Migrant workers make up a large percentage in Vermont’s farm workforce, because they are the ones applying for these jobs. Americans are not busting down our doors to put in a full, physical day working in manure, regardless of the pay. Without this labor market, we will certainly lose our remaining farms.
If we are willing to let Vermont farms disappear, then we are heading down a dangerous path. If we are willing to sacrifice our picturesque landscape for development, then we are on the wrong track. If we are prepared to see Vermont become nothing more than a subdivided bedroom community of the United States, then we are making a grave mistake.
We must protect Vermont's agricultural roots. We are proud producers of high-quality food that nourishes not only our local community but also the world. We prioritize engaging with our consumers and providing them with trustworthy, nutritious food that is truly authentic and REAL. We hold this commitment to quality in the highest regard, just as you do.
Let us work together to ensure that Vermont remains a key player in the global food market and safeguard the future of our farms and workforce. By standing united, we can maintain stability in Vermont's agricultural economy and continue to offer the freshest, cleanest food available. Stand by your Vermont farmer and urge your legislators to prioritize the preservation of our state's heritage. Together, we have the power to make a difference. Please stand with us. What a great year, this event wouldn't be possible without the tractors who lit the path- thank you farmers!

Thank you to Ben & Jerry's for the pints of ice cream we gave out, New England Dairy , Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. St. Albans Creamery & Supply for the whole and chocolate milk, and all the volunteers this took to set up. Santa, dancing cows and even the Grinch was able to come as a surprise!
