1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut π₯₯
1/4 cup granulated sugar π
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon π
2 large eggs π₯
Vegetable oil, for frying πΏ
Honey, chocolate syrup, or caramel sauce, for drizzling π―
π³ Preparation Steps:
Prepare the Ice Cream Balls:
Using an ice cream scoop, quickly scoop out balls of vanilla ice cream and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Freeze the ice cream balls for at least 1 hour, or until they are firm.
Prepare the Coating:
In a shallow bowl, combine crushed cornflakes, shredded coconut, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon.
Coat the Ice Cream Balls:
Remove the frozen ice cream balls from the freezer.
Roll each ice cream ball in the cornflake mixture, pressing gently to coat evenly. Repeat the process for a thicker coating if desired.
Place the coated ice cream balls back on the baking sheet and freeze again for at least 1 hour, or until they are very firm.
Fry the Ice Cream Balls:
In a deep saucepan or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
Carefully lower a few coated ice cream balls into the hot oil using a slotted spoon or spider strainer. Fry for about 15-30 seconds, turning once, until golden brown.
Remove the fried ice cream balls with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Quickly return them to the freezer if they start to melt.
Repeat the frying process with the remaining ice cream balls.
Serve:
Immediately drizzle the fried ice cream balls with honey, chocolate syrup, or caramel sauce.
Serve immediately and enjoy the crispy, creamy goodness!
