We are very excited to share our new packaging! In an effort to reduce waste, and cost, we have eliminated the card board box and replaced with a shirk wrap label. We removed the farm logo and went with a cleaner, sleeker design. Each fragrance will have a different color label and soaps will remain dye-free. Of course, our all natural ingredients will still be listed on the back of each bar. How do you like the new look?

And this is what happens when you forget to check the temperature of your oils before adding your goats milk to your soap recipe! Even cooling this batch in the freezer for 24 hours did not help! As soon as I poured it I knew I had forgotten! Ugh! It got too hot in the silicone mold and discolored the center (due to incomplete gelling process). Still usable soap (and I will sure use it!), but not the creamy white we strive for in our bars! It is the only batch of Apple Sage I made… so I guess I know what flavor scent I will be making this week!

For the second year in a row, we are sold out of goat milk lotion! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We do have a limited supply of goat milk soap bars and have several curing for our next events March 5 and April 2. We will not have any new lotion ready until early May as we only use fresh milk and our girls are not due to kid until Mid April.

Acker Farm LLC

We are a small, family operated hobby farm situated on 20 acres in Amity, Indiana...We are members of the ADGA and the Indiana Beekeepers Association.

Our mission is to improve our Saanen herd while educating ourselves and others, maximize profitability and to produce high quality, happy, healthy animals and unique farm products. We value rural life and are committed to maintaining our rural heritage.

The Crafty Coop part of this operation started because I wanted a therapeutic “escape” from my corporate job. I started crafting with my daughter and giving things to family and friends and it quickly turned into receiving requests for special items and then an order here or there...and now we have transformed our entire basement into a workshop where we make custom t-shirts, awards, banners, farm signs, home decor, barn quilts, goat milk and bee products, gifts, etc. We host a few craft events a year, attend local shows and offer a few workshops when we have an interest in how something was made.

It is now my dream to be able to support myself and my husband in our retirement once we decide to leave our day jobs and focus more on the farm, the goats, hosting agritourism events and creating.
