🍂 The seasons may be changing, but there’s no slowing down around here! 🫐

While the leaves continue to fall and the weather reminds us that winter is right around the corner, we’re still hard at work behind the scenes getting everything ready for another blueberry season at Hillside Blooms and Berries. 💙

Today’s delivery of sawdust is just one more step in preparing the fields and making sure our blueberry bushes are happy and healthy for next summer’s picking season.

There’s a lot of work that goes into growing the berries you love, and even when the farm looks quiet, there’s always something happening behind the scenes!

We’re already looking forward to warmer days, sunny mornings, and seeing all your familiar faces back out in the blueberry fields. Until then, we’ll keep working away and getting ready for another wonderful season! 🫐🌿

Fall is showing off here at the farm, and the leaves are quickly reaching their peak color. The fields are taking on all those beautiful reds, oranges, yellows, and deep greens that make Vermont this time of year so special. 🍁

But our blueberry-loving kiddo isn’t quite ready to let blueberry season go! 💙 He’s still out there finding perfectly ripe, sweet berries tucked away on our Elliot bushes—because apparently, the blueberry season isn’t over until he says it is. 😉

There’s something pretty special about watching the seasons change while still getting to enjoy a few fresh berries from the bushes. A little bit of summer hanging on while fall settles in. 🍂🫐

That’s a wrap on the 2026 blueberry season here at Hillside Blooms and Berries! 🫐💙

We want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made this season so special. It was wonderful meeting so many new faces and just as wonderful welcoming back so many familiar ones. Seeing families return year after year truly means the world to us.

From the early mornings to the busy weekends, the rainy days to the beautiful sunny ones, we are so grateful for every person who stopped by, picked berries, shared a smile, and supported our little farm.

Thank you for making the 2026 season one to remember. We are already looking forward to next year and can’t wait to welcome you all back to the hillside! 🌿🫐

We’ve marked our Elliot rows with stakes and ribbon to make it easier to find the sections most likely to have those fresh, firm berries ready to enjoy! 💙

And don’t worry — there’s still tons of berries perfect for jams and baking.

The sun is shining, the bushes are happy, and it’s shaping up to be a beautiful day for berry picking. 🌿🫐

We’ve had a season full of beautiful picking days, but the recent stretch of rain has changed things for us pretty quickly. 🫐💙

With all of the excessive rain we’ve had, the crops have been affected more than we could have anticipated. We’ve seen a lot of berries soften much faster than normal, and unfortunately, things have changed pretty quickly over the last few days.

The good news is that we still have lots of softer, perfectly good berries that are wonderful for baking, jams, sauces, muffins, pies and all of your favorite blueberry recipes! 🫐💙

Because of the change in the crop, our last regular picking day for the season will now be Sunday, August 23rd.

If you’re still hoping to pick after Sunday, we may be able to accommodate some additional picking by appointment.

Picking will be more selective, and we ask that you come with the understanding that the berries available will be more limited and may require a little more time to find the firmer fruit.

We truly cannot thank everyone enough for making this such a wonderful season. 💙 From the families who came to pick, the familiar faces who returned, and everyone who supported our little farm—we are so grateful.

Thank you for another amazing blueberry season. 🫐💙

We’re open the rest of this week with our normal hours, so there’s still plenty of time to come pick!

🫐 Wednesday: 8 AM–6 PM
🫐 Thursday: 8 AM–6 PM
🫐 Friday: 8 AM–8 PM
🫐 Saturday: 8 AM–8 PM
🫐 Sunday: 8 AM–4 PM

Then, starting the week of August 24th, we’ll be adjusting our hours as we head into the new school year.

🌿 New hours will be Friday, Saturday & Sunday only until the berries say another wonderful season has come to an end.

🫐 Sunday: 8 AM–4 PM

There are still tons of beautiful blueberries on the bushes, and we’d love to see you out here filling those buckets while they last! 🫐💙

By popular demand, we’re bringing back our bucket deals for the final weeks of the season! There are SO many blueberries still waiting to be picked, and we want to clear those bushes out! 💙

HALF BUCKET — $10

Come fill a bucket of fresh Vermont blueberries, and help us finish the season with those bushes picked clean! It’s a great time to come stock the freezer, make some jam, or just enjoy one more round of picking.🌿🫐
