Coccidia treatment. I am making a post about this because so many people have asked what I use to treat my silkies with. I do NOT use corrid for any of my chickens. Haven’t in years and will never again due to losing too many silkies when I used it. I had another breeder recommend this and have never lost a silkie while treating since. Whenever the ground gets flooded or damp at all, there’s a chance of them getting coccidia. Coccidia thrives in wet/damp conditions so it’s always important to treat when you first see signs. First sign of any blood in their stool and I use endocox. It’s more expensive than corrid but I will always spend more money to protect my babies. 1 teaspoon per gallon for three days then wait 7 days and treat again.
