The most commonly found chicken breeds that are in our flock are:

- Easter Eggers
- Cream Crested Legbars
- White Leghorns
- Midnight Majesty Marans
- Black Sexlinks

We also have some really fun, fluffy, and unique breeds such as:

- Light Brahmas
- Blue Cochins
- Blue Copper Marans
- Bielefelders
- Silkies

And of course, If you’ve been following our farm account for a while, you definitely know the farm favorite around here - our Mottled Houdan hen, Dini.

So, tell me, what breeds are in your flock of chickens?

Happy birthday to me! 🌻

33 feels so so good this year, and like I’m finally comfortable in my own skin.

I’m loving the fact that this beautiful bouquet was picking right here on our farm, and again the peace and presence of being in the moment was indescribable.

If you haven’t grown your own flowers and created yourself a bouquet yet, I encourage you to try it. It’s such a different sense of gratitude and satisfaction.

Such a perfect reminder for this time of year, and any time you need to read the words.

“I have all the time I need to do what matters most.”

📝I’ve been writing this in my journal each morning the past few weeks to help rewire/retrain my brain.

Fall is the busiest time on the farm. I can feel the clock ticking and the days literally getting shorter right in front of my eyes.

Yup, I’m experiencing “time stress” and overwhelm. 😬

When I feel the panic rise up in my chest…
When I move frantically, instead of purposefully…
When I feel my breath quickening…
When I find myself literally walking in circles…
When I feel like my brain is going to burst…

I come back to this thought:
“I have all the time I need to do what matters most.”

My panic slowly fades.
My movements become deliberate.
My breathing becomes intentional.
My body slows.
My brain calms.

I'm grounded in the truth.
I DO have all the time I need to do what matters most.
I get curious about what ACTUALLY matters most.
Right here. Right now. What matters?

The world will not stop turning if I don’t get seedlings in the ground in time.
The world will not stop turning if I don’t harvest everything in time.
The world will not stop turning if I don’t _________________________ (fill in the blank, friend).

Surprisingly enough, what matters most is often unexpected and not on my “To-Do List”.

Sharing a meal with my family.
Biking with my daughter.
Meeting a friend for a walk.

“I have all the time I need to do what matters most.”

Are you feeling “time stress” and overwhelm too? Give it a try.
I wonder if it will help you shift your perspective the way it does for me.

Deep breaths. You’ve got all the time you need, friend.

P.S. Looking at these "Coseytown Bounty" Dahlias is another way to slow down and remember what matters most 😍
