Maple Hills Orchard Where memories are made! The orchard opened for the 2026 season on Labor Day Weekend and will be open until Sunday, October 25th. A Healthy, Happy Fall to All!

Hours: Saturdays 10-5 & Sundays 11-5 Maple Hills Orchard is located in west central Minnesota between Detroit Lakes and Frazee. We are a family-owned and operated seasonal business. We will have a variety of Minnesota apples, orchard honey, Fall raspberries, and maple syrup available.

Red Room's turn to visit the apple orchard! The little apple pickers had a great time! They enjoyed collecting apples, learning about how apples grow, taking a tractor ride, and exploring the orchard. It was a fun-filled day getting outside and enjoying all the things that make fall special!

🍎 This Weekend at Maple Hills Orchard! 🍎

Saturday (today): 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It's going to be a hot one today, so come cool off with a cup of our refreshing c***r! ☀️

🍏 Apples: SnowSweet, Fireside, Honeycrisp, and Haralson, plus seconds of a few other varieties (great for pies, sauce, and snacking!)

🌭 NEW Farmer's Lunch: a hot dog with pulled pork and barbecue sauce. You'll want two.

🎃 Family fun:
• U-pick pumpkins
• Hayrides
• Grass maze
• Yard games
• Pumpkin painting today from 2 to 4 p.m.
• Six different scavenger hunts to play on your phone 🔍

🌭 NEW Orchard Meals! Every meal comes with chips and a drink, and we've got something for everyone. Our new favorite? The Farmer's Lunch: a hotdog with pulled pork and BBQ sauce for $12. It's hearty, messy in all the right ways, and exactly what a day in the orchard calls for.

Also on the menu: Pulled Pork Meal Deal ($14), Hotdog Meal ($9), and a PB&J Kids Meal ($6).

🩺 "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." — but WHY?

Turns out there's real science behind that old Welsh proverb. Apples are:
✅ High in fiber and water — great for digestion and weight management
✅ Full of antioxidants that support heart health
✅ Linked to lower risk of diabetes
✅ Good for gut health and bone health too

Not bad for something that grows on a tree and tastes amazing. 😄

📖🍎 A new addition to our shelves, and we think you're going to love it!

We now have the book, Sweet, Tart & Golden: Apples in the Midwestern Imagination, by Dr. Lucy M. Long in the store. It's a fascinating, delightful read about how apples have shaped Midwestern food, history, and culture. If you love apples as much as we do, this one belongs on your fall reading list.

And here's our favorite part: somewhere in the middle of the book, Dr. Long writes a lovely piece about Maple Hills Orchard and the relationship she has with its current owners. It's a warm reminder that orchards are about people and community as much as fruit.

Stop in, browse our shelves, and pick up a copy of Sweet, Tart & Golden while you're here. Apples are available pre-picked in our store (no u-pick apples), so you can take home a bag of apples and a good book in one trip. ☕

Come spend your Sunday afternoon at the orchard. From 2 to 3 PM we're doing PUMPKIN PAINTING! Just $10 per person, and that covers your pumpkin and all the paint. Grab a cup of hot c***r, get some apples, and let the kids get creative.
