A little heads up for the curious: our 2024 Malbec arrives next week as part of the June Theory Society release.

One of our favorite parts of the club is getting to introduce new wines at the beginning of their story. This one feels especially meaningful—it’s the first varietal Malbec we’ve produced, and we’re excited to share it as we begin discovering how it will continue to evolve in the bottle.

Along with early access, Theory Society members receive ongoing savings in the Lounge and online, plus invitations to experiences built around the community that gathers around the glass.

A different way to think about wine this summer: add a little fizz.

Our seasonal spritzes take familiar wines in a new direction:
Kalimotxo (or Calimocho) — a surprisingly refreshing Spanish classic that pairs red wine with cola. Unexpected? Maybe. Worth trying? Absolutely.

Lemon Blush — sparkling lemonade topped with our 2024 Rosé for something bright, easy, and built for warmer days.
Bonus theory: both featured sodas come from our friends at North Market Pop Shop , so if inspiration strikes, recreating them at home is easy too.

It’s been 3 weeks since the devastating freeze. Parker fills us in on what we know so far for the 2026 vintage:

“After the freeze at our vineyards we are now seeing what buds are pushing on our plants. It affected each of our varieties very differently with some having secondary buds and fruit. Others are left with only one tertiary shoot for next year’s renewal and some were completely killed. Luckily a majority of our newly planted low spray varieties survived and will have growth to supply next year’s harvest. Petit Verdot is one of our better plantings and has some fruit on it for the 2026 harvest. Barbara on the other hand is mainly down to just one bud or completely killed and will need to be replanted in 2027.

While this year has already been a struggle out in the vineyard we are optimistic about the quality of grapes we will get this season and our renewals for next year.” - Parker

“As a previous schoolteacher, I got into wine a bit unexpectedly—it started as a curiosity and quickly turned into something I genuinely enjoy learning about and sharing with others. I love how wine brings people together and tells a story, whether it’s about a place, a tradition, or a moment.
My favorite Simple Theory wine is the Unoaked Chardonnay. It’s incredibly versatile, easy to enjoy, and perfect for almost any occasion. It’s the kind of wine you can bring to a casual get-together or just enjoy on a relaxed evening.

My favorite part about Downtown Frederick is the community & atmosphere. The mix of historic charm and energy, with unique shops, restaurants, and local spots all within walking distance. It feels like a small hometown where every knows you. There’s always something going on—whether it’s events, live music, or just people out enjoying the day.”
