Harvest 2026, in all its glory. The picks have been light, but the fruit has been picture perfect.

Pictured: Texas Hill Country Estate grown Petite Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Montepulciano, Sangiovese, and tired but passionate winemakers.

Not pictured: the overtime, the busy weekends (harvest rests for no one), the late nights, and most importantly, the farmers who work tirelessly to get the fruit to this stage.

Slate Theory’s tasting room crew spent the day touring our 110-acre estate vineyards, the largest in the Hill Country AVA.

We tasted each variety of grape side-by-side with the bottled wines from a previous vintage, and learned more about a grape’s journey from vine to bottle.

Sauvignon Blanc, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Sauvignon were among the six varieties we tasted 🍇🍷
