Today marks the last day of Piccolina serving on Main Street. We are so grateful to everyone who came from near and far to have one last scoop. But this will not be the end of Piccolina. Stay tuned!

There are many titles and roles we hold throughout our lives. I’ve witnessed High School Student to Nurse. Son to Caretaker. Misfit to Entrepreneur. Petroleum Engineer to Vinegar Maker. Young Lovers to Parents. Airbnb Owner to Italian Ice Scooper. And the list goes on.

I am very proud of the most recent titles in my life - Piccolina, Little One, Plumber, Tile Layer, Magic Maker, Elsa, Female Business Owner, Boss, etc. And I am most proud of seeing our local Fredericksburg kids who work for us grow wings. And fly.

But I am the most proud of my most unexpected recent titles - Wife. And Stepmom.

Life is full of chapters. Chapters unwritten. Chapters full of fluff to skip. Chapters to re-read over and over. Chapters you want to burn. Chapters that still make no sense. But thank you, Fredericksburg, for being a chapter that will forever be bookmarked.

Piccolina on Main will be closing January 5th. I am so grateful to our staff, who have tirelessly continued this dream even after the path changed, who continued to bring Piccolina to Main Street. The Familia who believed in me no matter what. And I am so grateful to this community, who have supported and cheered on and supported a smoking truck in a parade from day one.

Stay tuned though - just because the corner is closing, doesn’t mean those trucks can’t run through Texas and beyond…

As you place orders with your suppliers this week, please consider adding a few extra boxes of items to donate for flood relief. Cutlery, cleaning supplies, trash bags, etc.

We are collecting, organizing, and storing all items at Piccolina and will be distributing them into the right hands as needs arise.

We are small businesses, but we can do big things 🍋

There are no words that haven’t already been said. There are no words that can change what has already happened.

But know that we are here to support you, Kerr County. Piccolina was set to serve at the 4th of July River Festival in Kerrville and have had countless memories serving the children camps in Hunt. Our hearts are breaking alongside you.

We are in contact with several organizations, and it is evident - the state of Texas is incredible. As soon as our marching orders are clear, we will have a call to action. Stay tuned and please keep the Kerrville, Hunt, Ingram and surrounding communities in your thoughts and prayers.

And in time, healing begins.
