This week I spent some quality time with Violet. Violet is a mustang mule that came to the farm as a “visiting” friend for Kennedy from I AM HERD Mustang Sanctuary . After Kennedy lost her life long friend, we started looking for someone who would be a perfect fit for her and Violet had absolutely filled the role. I have mostly just let them hang together asking nothing of them other than supporting each other. This week I decided to spend a little time working with them both just to check in and see where they are. Both are happy and thriving together! Violet is such an incredibly sweet soul and I am truly so grateful to have her presence on the farm. Thank you so much Mary MillerJordan AndFamily for sharing her with us!

I have loved dying these summer shirts! They are so light and soft and perfect for the warm, sunny days on the horizon. They dye beautifully but unfortunately they are discontinued and I haven’t been able to find anything close to them so these are the only ones that will be available unless I find a good replacement! 100% Rayon and available on the website now. Sizes that I have are XS, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X and 5X!

Dresses are officially listed on the website! These ice dyed, tie dye dresses are each one of a kind. Every one of them feels really special so I’m excited to share them. 2 have already sold but there are 4 more that are looking for their homes!

In addition to dresses, I also listed all of my button down summer shirts! This week has been a tough sleep week for Lilah so the listings aren’t perfect but I wanted to go ahead and get them up for everyone interested!

My first dresses!!

This week I dyed 6 of these dresses, all of them are going to be their own unique pieces! They are very much giving pixie/fairy vibes. This is the first of them to be ready to rinse and it made me so excited to rinse the rest! This is the medium and they will range from Small-3x, some with very different color schemes. I cannot wait to share them this weekend at the in Charlottesville from 9-1! This is the last market for the month so after this I will be taking pictures and trying to get things listed on the website. I’m so thankful for this life!

Did you know that everything I tie dye is created using ice?

Ice dyeing is a unique tie-dye technique where ice is placed on the fabric and powdered dyes are sprinkled over or under the ice. As the ice slowly melts, it splits the dye into all the colors that were added to create that tone and carries it through the fabric in natural, unpredictable patterns, creating soft color blends and earthy, watercolor-like effects. Because the ice melts differently every time, no two pieces are ever the same, each item is truly one of a kind.

I love this way of dying because it’s always keeping me on my toes and producing different results. I could do the same fabric in the same pattern with the ice and dye perfectly placed and every single time it will look different, sometimes drastically different. Every element can change the way it looks from the size of the ice to the temperature the ice melts at to even the scoop of dye that I pull out. Each piece is so special to create and I honestly believe that every single item I dye was made specifically for someone special.
