Monday doesn’t care how you feel about it. It shows up anyway — and so do you. 💪
If you run a small business, you already know the truth nobody posts about: nobody is coming to save your week. There’s no boss handing you a plan, no safety net, no guarantee that the hours you pour in today turn into anything by Friday. It’s just you, your idea, and the quiet decision to open the doors one more time.
And here’s the thing — that’s not the hard part of your story. That’s the whole point of it.
Jim Collins said it best: “Greatness is not a function of circumstance. Greatness, it turns out, is largely a matter of conscious choice, and discipline.” You don’t need a perfect market, a viral moment, or a competitor to slip up. You need to choose — today, and then again tomorrow, and then again the day after that, on the days it’s exciting and the days it absolutely is not.
That’s what discipline actually is. Not motivation. Not a mood. A choice you keep making while everyone who quit is telling themselves it wasn’t possible anyway.
So whatever you’re building — whether it’s your first month or your tenth year — show up for it this week. Send the email. Make the post. Answer the customer. Restock the shelf. Do the small unglamorous thing that future-you will be grateful you didn’t skip. 🌱
The big results come later. The choice happens now.
Make this week one you’d be proud to look back on. We’re rooting for you. ☕
