From our roadside produce stand (open in summer months) to our CSA program to our pumpkins and Christmas trees, Snead's Farm has become a family tradition for many in the Fredericksburg area and beyond. We welcome our customers to enjoy this peaceful property whether you've come to pick up a CSA box, select a pumpkin or buy a bag of tomatoes.

CSA Pick 'n' Play this week: CSA members may come to the farm on Wednesday, June 10, and Saturday, June 13, between 9 a.m. and noon to enjoy the farm and pick-your-own farm produce.

Each membership may pick up to 8 quarts of sugar snap peas and 6 half pints on raspberries on Wednesday, and another 6 half pints of raspberries Saturday. Sugar snap peas will have finished their season by Saturday—so be sure to get them Wednesday!

Our roadside stand will be open Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., and we will also be open for farm visits during those hours.

🌱 CSA Members: Here are your PYO opportunities this week!

📅 Wed, June 3 & Sat, June 6 | 9 AM–Noon

6 quarts of sugar snap peas and 2 half-pints of raspberries per membership. Both days.

Check in at the roadside stand when you arrive — we'll hand you your containers and point you to the fields. Then enjoy the farm!

Our roadside stand will also be open 9-2 on Wednesday and Saturday. We will have sugar snap peas, free-range eggs and Snead's Farm honey.

**This week at the farm**

CSA members may come to the farm on Wednesday, May 27, and Saturday, May 30, between 9 a.m. and noon to enjoy the farm and pick delicious sugar snap peas.

Each membership may pick up to 4 quarts of sugar snap peas on both Wednesday and Saturday.

On each of these days, our roadside stand will be open from 9am until 2pm. Wednesday will be the final day this year that we will have any asparagus for sale at the stand. We will also have eggs, honey and sugar snap peas.

On Wednesday and Saturday, we will also be open for farm visits. Admission is $7 per person.

CSA members! Just a reminder that there is no box pickup this week, but there is the opportunity to pick up to 2 quarts of sugar snap peas at the farm today May 20 (and enjoy the play areas) between 9 and noon.

This is expected to be one of the last nice-weather days for a bit, so we hope to see you on the farm today!

In addition, our roadside stand will be open 9-2 today May 20 with asparagus, sugar snaps, eggs and honey.

Sugar snap peas have arrived at the farm! 🌱

CSA members are invited to come enjoy the farm and pick one of our favorite spring crops on:

Each membership may pick up to 2 quarts of sugar snap peas on BOTH picking days.

Here’s how it works:

🫛 Stop by the roadside stand when you arrive
🫛 Check in with your name
🫛 Pick up your quart containers and directions to the fields
🫛 Enjoy picking peas and spending time on the farm!

We can’t wait to see our CSA members out in the fields this week. 💚

Not a member of the CSA? Our roadside stand will be open on Wednesday from 9-2, selling sugar snaps, a limited quantity of asparagus, eggs and honey.

This year has certainly been one of the most challenging asparagus seasons we’ve had. The repeated swings back to colder temperatures have significantly reduced our asparagus yield.

While we have enough asparagus for our CSA members, we do not have enough supply to open the roadside stand this week.

The stand will reopen once the next crops of the season--raspberries and sugar snap peas--come in. We will also reopen for farm visits at that time.

We look forward to seeing you on the farm when more crops come in. Please stay tuned to our social media and website for the latest updates!

This will be the final pickup in the Early Spring mini-season of the 2026 CSA.

We expect the Peak Summer mini-season to begin in mid-July when our peaches, berries, melons, corn, tomatoes and more summer crops come in.

In between the two seasons, there will be at least five farm Pick-n-Play days where members can enjoy admission-free farm visits and pick-your-own opportunities.

CSA members will continue to receive our e-mail each Sunday, so that we may keep you posted on when the Pick-n-Play days will occur, and when the Peak Summer box pickups begin.

Hooray for warmer weather! We will have asparagus, honey and eggs for sale at the roadside stand this Wednesday.

We will also be open for farm visits on Wednesday. Hours are 9-6.
