Yankee St. Garlic All natural garlic grower based out of Fredericktown, Ohio. We grow garlic? How did that happen? I digress. Accidental or planned, the soil was prime for garlic.

Few people, including Jeff Sargent, can understand Jeff's process. As the story goes; He picked up a unknown bag of garlic on its last leg at road side produce stand around the year 2000. For years before garlic was ever grown, the Sargent family toiled at creating compost. It was unknown why we turned manure and leaves by hand as it was going on to an underperforming garden. The luck of having the proper soil pared with the proper variety made the garlic thrive. The first harvest was a success with the garlic being able to be split and replanted four plants to the original one. Jeff continued to break apart the bulbs for replanting, on average getting four out of one. Using this same process YSG plants, harvests, and prepares approximately 20,000 bulbs a year. The crop has stayed to true to the original planting, eliminating the possibility for outside diseases. We sell garlic for cooking and for seed. Also sell garlic scapes, when in season.
