Thank you for visiting us!!! Located within the North Central Hills of Ohio Amish Country, Hidden Creek Acres is a family owned farming specializing in both llamas and alpacas. At Hidden Creek, we are currently focusing on fiber production/sales from both our llamas and alpacas. The main fiber from these animals can be spun into luxurious sweaters, coats, socks, scarves, mittens....while the cutti

ngs from the neck and/or leg regions can be used for rugs,felting projects such as dog beds, stuffing for pillows, eco friendly bird nesting, w**d control/mulching around flowers (seriously!!!, Im not crazy)! as well as items such as fiber buttons, yes...fiber buttons!!! Llamas and alpacas both can be utilized in Animal Assisted Therapy Program in Nursing Homes, MRDD facilities, appear at Holiday parades, schools for show and tell, county fairs, and National Sanctioned shows...Lllamas can also be utilized for cart pulling as well as packing on hikes or in the mountains as they can maintain 1/3 of their weight in packed items!!.

Welcome 2026 but boy has January with weather and the farm so far been a challenge. Between the cold snap, keeping waterers from freezing, tarping everything I can to keep wind down in the barns and a llama with a neurological issue, January has been more of a challenge than normal. To say I’m not nervous about the upcoming negative temperatures is an understatement but I keep the faith that we will all get through this with Gods guiding hand: say a prayer for my old guy Coppertop as we are unsure what the future holds for him. Everyone keep safe during this cold snap ride!

Rain…rain….rain! But needed! Feeding tonight in the dark in the rain with the granddaughter = priceless fun! Our sweet little hens we hatched in the spring are finally starting to lay eggs, two today! To see the excitement of the egg gathering by the grandkids with the “baby hens” as they call them is priceless. Two day rest from the festival this past weekend and then it’s time to start spinning again! Finishing one on the wheel and can’t wait until to get the new roving on the wheel!! Hope everyone is enjoying their week!! Sending lots of llama love!
