Things have been a bit hectic here at Wooly Knoll but I didn't want to let May go by without documenting this occasion. On May 11th our little rescue lamb, Logan turned 1 year old. For those that might not remember, Logan came to us as a three day old, very sick little lamb. With lots of love and care he has blossomed into a fine young man. Happy 1st Birthday Logan. (for those that do remember, Logan is still besties with his stall pal Abe, but Abe thinks my camera is evil and won't stay in the frame)

HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY LOGAN!
Logan reached the age of 6 months today! He is officially out of the woods! We could not be happier. He is the sweetest little guy. Still leans on my for a chin stroke. Still best buddies with Abe. Every morning he leads the ladies out into the big pasture and brings them back every evening. In return for this we give him a little extra crunch. I will try to get better pictures later today.

Today was re-pastureize the sheep day.
Lamar is in the front pasture with PB, Not Jack and Mambo.
Mud Pie is in the center pasture with Lazarus, Oliver and Yoda. At night they will hang in the back stall.
All the ladies and the rest of the wethers are on the hill with daytime access to a stall in the back of the barn and at night they will come back into the paddock. Logan and Abe particularly like this arrangement as they get to hang with Ru and run around the hill.

So Logan has made it a little past halfway to his 6 month birthday! Half of my worrying is over! Only half the worrying left to go. So far so good, we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Sad day at Wooly Knoll....George the best ram we will ever know passed away last night from old age. He was a very honest sheep and incredibly smart...George's calming presence will be greatly missed. God speed George.
