These past couple days have been hard on each and every farmer in our area. We don’t get to call in because of the cold, and hope the livestock tend to them selves. Or when something breaks - hope it fixes itself.

However, farming is truly one of the most humbling industries to be in. Especially these past couple days - I cannot begin to say how grateful I am to have a farm, but more importantly - have a FAMILY farm. I am grateful to have a dad that has been out plowing snow for the town hours on end, so people can get to where they need to be. I am grateful to be able to live right by our farm, and have snowmobiles that we can take through the field instead of being on the roads. I am grateful to have a boyfriend that comes along and helps at the farm. I am grateful to have a brother, friend and cousin who all drop what they are doing to come plow the farm yard out so we can get cattle fed and bedded.

So if you ate today, thank a farmer. Pray for farmers. We are out there in the good & the bad. It takes a village, but I think I can speak on behalf of almost every farmer - we are so grateful to have this life!
