This is the hardest post I've ever had to make, and it's been eating me up, but here it goes.
We have been operating Monster Beach for the past year, at a loss, and at tremendous personal costs to our schedules, health, and sanity.
It has been incredibly difficult, but incredibly rewarding, to have the absolute honor of serving all of our regulars and satisfied guests complex and incredible Tiki cocktails, fantastic house brewed beers, and original Asian Fusion cuisine. Those of you who frequented Monster Beach have shown an incredible amount of support and love, and we love you right back, but we've reached a point of loss where we simply cannot continue to operate without putting our own homes and livelihoods at risk.
Getting to put on such amazing live concerts and drag shows was a particular highlight for me. I'm so very proud to have been able to provide a space for drag, for the LGBTQ+ community to gather, and for so many talented musicians to perform. This really was a dream of mine for such a long time, and I'm shattered that it unfortunately has to end.
Monster Beach will be permanently closed on 11/1/25.
We will be open Wednesday through Saturday for the next two weeks (plus the final Sunday of October for the return of Tail Light Rebellion) during which all of our standard scheduled events will be held. We will also be having a sale on tiki mugs and crowlers so that you can stock up on our beer before it's gone forever, and take a piece of Monster Beach home with you to remember it by.
We still have some great events coming up, including Pukellele (stripped down punk and folk punk covers, played on the ukulele and sung by yours truly) tomorrow night! Two more trivia nights (with physical, non bar credit prizes), performances by Blissen, and tail light rebellion, a final open mic night, and of course, one final Kiki at the Tiki drag show on Halloween, our last night of operations. It's going to be a blast so don't miss your last chance to party with the monsters of monster Beach.
Thank you, to everyone who's come out and showed support. We love you and truly wish we could continue to do it.
With love & blood
Chris, Mandi, and Robert.
