Guess Who’s Planting This Year? 🌱✨

Although I’m no longer farming for profit, the love for growing never really left my heart.
This year at Victory Garden Farm, I’m planting just for the joy of it — for the peace it brings me, the way it grounds me 🌻, and the deep sense of accomplishment that only comes after a hard day’s work 🌞.
There’s truly nothing like getting your hands in the dirt and watching life unfold, one seed at a time.

I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you! Stay tuned — there’s so much more to come! ✨

Rise and shine! 🌞 Andrew and I rolled right out of bed this morning and cast our votes! 🗳️ Nothing feels better than starting the day with a little democracy. If you haven’t voted yet, make sure to get out there and make your voice heard! 🙌🇺🇸

🌱🇮🇪 Greetings from Ireland! 🇮🇪🌱

I’m currently exploring the beautiful Irish countryside, and I can’t believe the affordable prices of the food in the grocery stores here. The produce looks amazing, and the eggs are even sold unrefrigerated! I love how they label them as “Irish Barn Eggs.”

One of the things I love most about traveling is seeing how other people eat and raise food in different countries. It’s so eye-opening! The quality here is top-notch, yet the prices are so much more affordable compared to what we’re experiencing in the US. Inflation back home has really made me appreciate these differences.

Andrew and I were genuinely surprised at how budget-friendly and fresh the food is here in Ireland. It’s inspiring to see how they manage to keep such high standards at reasonable prices.

I’m reaping the rewards of all of Andy’s hard work. Good job Farmer Wally!!! I’m adding this to my salad for lunch!!!

I’m beyond proud of my husband, Andrew. 🌟 This is my first year not farming after retiring this summer, and seeing him pick up the tools and go after it all by himself, without any guidance from me, fills my heart with so much happiness. He was working tirelessly until 11 p.m. last night, putting in an incredible amount of effort into growing things this year.

Andrew, your dedication and hard work are truly inspiring. Your efforts are paying off with tomatoes, broccoli, and cauliflower coming in nicely. You’re doing such a great job, and it brings me so much joy to see it all. 💚

🥚 Fun with Goose Eggs at The Victory Garden Farm! 🥚

I’ve got more goose eggs than I know what to do with, so I’m getting creative in the kitchen! Today’s experiment: Deviled Sriracha Goose Eggs! If you love deviled eggs, you’re going to love this spicy twist.

First off, did you know that the hard-boiled yolk of a goose egg is as big as an entire regular-sized chicken egg? It’s true! But that’s not all—let’s dive into some nutritional comparisons:

• Goose Eggs vs. Chicken Eggs: Goose eggs are packed with more protein, vitamins A, B, D, and E, and essential minerals like iron and selenium compared to chicken eggs. They’re also higher in fat, making them richer and more satisfying.
• Perfect Protein Source: Both goose and chicken eggs are excellent sources of complete protein, providing all the essential amino acids our bodies need. They’re a fantastic choice for a healthy, balanced diet.

And now, back to our kitchen adventure: the Deviled Sriracha Goose Eggs turned out amazing and were a blast to make! If you’re looking for a fun and nutritious snack with a kick, give this a try.

I found this swallows nest in my chicken coop. Unfortunately I had to remove it. I can’t believe the swallows built this beautiful nest in just 3 days.

I accidentally left the coop door open after removing the chickens. I’m normally very good at shutting all outside structure door’s to prevent this very thing.

The nest and the eggs are beautiful. The structure of the mud nest. Then the mama lined the nest with straw and goose feathers she harvested from the coop. I feel bad but I can’t allow the swallows to be in the coop. We are tearing the structure down as we are selling it.
