Food is medicine. What we consume directly impacts our health and longevity—more than any other factor. We strive to be a positive force in increasing healthspans and have plenty of eggs in stock for you and your family.

What is a pasture-raised egg and what is the difference between them and conventional eggs from birds raised in cages? For eggs to be considered pasture-raised, each bird must get:

- access to 108 square feet of outdoor space.
- enough pasture to perform natural behaviors like pecking for seeds and bugs.
- outdoor access during daylight hours all year.
- a sheltered indoor space for protection.
- rotating fields to roam, their location is changed periodically.

A hen's natural omnivorous diet of fresh grasses, seeds, worms, and insects—rather than standard commercial mash—directly impacts the egg's micronutrient profile. Access to natural sunlight allows the hens to synthesize Vitamin D, which is then passed into the egg.

Healthy Fats: Pasture-raised eggs can have up to twice as much long-chain omega-3 fatty acids and a healthier ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fats.

Vitamins: Studies frequently report double the amount of Vitamin E and higher levels of Vitamins D and A.

Antioxidants: The vibrant orange color of the yolk is attributed to higher levels of carotenoids like lutein and zeaxanthin, which promote eye health.

The birds are back and so are the eggs! Thank you for your support and patience these past several months. We are thrilled to be back at it. Our offerings and prices changed.

In order to start production immediately we added mature hens. They lay very large eggs. As a result, we are offering cartons of mixed dozens and super jumbos. Most eggs in the mixed cartons are extra-large or bigger and none are smaller than large.

Super jumbos don't fit in normal cartons. They are that huge. Our current prices per dozen are:

- $6 for Mixed Chicken Eggs
- $7 for Super Jumbo Chicken Eggs

Our egg sales fridge is well stocked and I’m refilling it as fast as I can wash and carton. Thank you for your continued patronage and support!

It’s eerily quiet around here now. The bad news—all the birds are gone and I’m not allowed to have any on the farm until the beginning of April. The good news—a friend has several hundred adult laying hens that I can bring on farm as soon as the quarantine is lifted.

The stress of the move will disrupt production at first, but after they settke in my numbers should be close to what they were before my flock was wiped out. I’ll continue to post updates as we get closer to reopening. I’ll be up and running as soon as possible.

Thank you for all your support and contributions. With your generosity I’m able to keep going and will be back—bigger and better—in no time.

Until further notice, all egg sales are halted. I just received notice that my flock has contracted avian influenza. Many of the birds have already died, but the rest of the flock will need to be depopulated. I will restock layers as soon as able, but I’m not certain what that timeline looks like yet. Any eggs sold prior to this point are fine. Most of the eggs I have on hand were laid prior to the development of symptoms.

You can do everything right, but sometimes nature throws you a curveball. I’m working with government officials and abiding by established rules and procedures that will help ensure public health and get production up and running again as soon as possible. Please pass this message along to anyone you know that purchases eggs from me. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

The chicken egg shortage is over! 🙌🏻 Thank you for your patience and continued patronage the last few months. Come on out to the farm and stock up. Grab some for the family and tell your friends—funky fresh pasture raised eggs are back baby!

We’d like to thank everyone for being patient and bearing with us the last few weeks. Egg production plummeted to 4 dozen a day about a week ago. Our youngest birds have finally picked up the seasonal slack of our old hens and we’re back up to 10 dozen a day! 🙌🏻

We’re not going to allow a repeat of this next year. We’re doubling the size of our flock in 2025, but we need your help.

We haven’t touched prices in almost 2 years. We’ve pushed off an increase as long as we can, but it’s time. New birds aren’t free and neither is their feed. Chicks eat for six months before they lay their first eggs and we’re about to order 600 of them.

With your continued patronage and support we will be collecting 40 dozen pasture raised and nutrient dense eggs per day next fall. Egg shortages will soon be a thing of the past around here. Have a wonderful holiday season!

Joel is having surgery on his knee today. We expect a full recovery, but he won’t be hauling around buckets of feed and baskets of eggs for a few weeks. We have a plan to keep production going, but please be patient with us we spread the work around.

Please messasge, text, or call prior to heading to the farm to get eggs in the event the fridge is empty. We are suspending deliveries on Market Wagon until Joel can drive again. Thank you for your support and continued patronage.

I’ve been looking forward to taking and sharing this picture for a long time. I finally bought and built enough shelters to get all of our hens out of permanent buildings and on pasture! It’s taken four years, but the constant flock expansion and the $3-4k price tag of each of these structures has kept this goal out of my reach until today.

Chickens don’t like straying far from their roosts. These shelters ensure the birds are able to graze on more acreage, consume more nutrients sourced on farm, and return valuable material back to the soil in their excrement. These shelters will be moved daily to encourage new grazing, fertilization, and regrowth. We are raising healthy animals, reducing feed costs, building soil, and producing nutrient dense eggs—12 feet of pasture at a time.
