Mischief Farm Libations is a spirited collaboration between husband & wife team, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton Morgan of Mischief Farm, with The Vale Fox Distillery. As local farmers and business owners Jeff & Hilarie cherish the lifestyle they have been able to find in the Hudson Valley, celebrating the landscape and the people that make the community what it is, with some mischief thrown in.

A flavor for everyone! When came to town a couple weeks ago on her book tour she made time to hang at Buffalo Wing Factory with some other Park View High School alum. Fun fact… Hilarie worked for Buffalo Wing Factory when she was in high school.

Wing flavor she went with… Sweet & Smoky BBQ (paired with a blackberry Negroni made with gin 😎)

8. Making all our landscaping dreams come true, our ol trusty baby! Grateful to for moving all these rocks! New walkways and fairy gardens happening!

Support Artists!!!

I first met my pal in . He’d been a customer of the original owner, Ira Gutner. And he’d even painted the portrait of Ira that still hangs in our shop.

In the early days of our ownership, we were unsure how people would feel about us carrying on Ira’s legacy. But Tom not only showed up to keep me company as I painted and cleaned alongside , he put a good word in for us with other community members. He lent his artwork to the shop to put some color and excitement in the space. And he and his wife did us a solid by profiling our family for Living Rhinebeck Magazine.

They are such important members of our community and I feel so honored that Tom painted a portrait of Jeffrey and I from our page. He gave it to me the other night after donating two pieces to our Art Auction. (The generosity is staggering)

Tom is a veteran, an involved parent in our community and a hell of an artist! He has supported so many great causes in our town and so I humbly ask that you please support him by following him and buying his work!

Tom! Thank you!!! You and MaryBeth are the real deal. Xoxo

HBD JDM! 🤘

It’s my husband’s birthday.

He’s not big on celebrating. I watch how outgoing he can be for work or to show up for fans, and I love him for it. Because the kids and I know what an introvert really is. We love the quiet guy. The guy who doesn’t need parties or a crowd. Every single day he makes sure we know that his preferred company is just our little unit. I can’t imagine a bigger compliment.
From the night I met Jeffrey, he has been my protector. I met him right as I was leaving OTH and he knew I’d been hurt. And so this strange man with the gravelly voice and sinewy arms wrapped me up and told me to never worry again. He gave me children and this farm and the unconditional support I needed to tell my truth and fight ALL the battles. I love how he pushes back against toxic masculinity, being both a total badass and an affectionate friend to his brothers like (too many to name them all!! You know who you are!). Nothing cuter than seeing those boys hug on each other. He’s buddies with all my mom friends and texts them more than I do. He made the world safe enough for me to grow and take risks because he has always known exactly who he is.

I love that he delights in bad reality tv and gas station treats and puppies. I love that he loves appetizers more than anyone else on the planet. I love that he reaches back for people and cheers loudly for them.
Most of all I love that he sees our kids. Really sees them. It’s no wonder they cling to him and want to crawl on top of him, like little birds perched on their favorite tree.

I love the evolution of your hotness in these photos, . From bad boy to Daddy vibes. Always a catch.
You work so hard. I know you do it for us. Today you rest. We’ll feed you oysters and apple pie.

- Hot date with !!!! (I am such a sucker when he wears a suit! 😍)

Last night we attended the upfronts, and got to celebrate the friends that we miss so much ( ) and cheer on the new productions that are premiering. Feels really good to have built this work family. They’ve been so supportive of our real family! From The Walking Dead, to during the pandemic, my handsome husband’s new show and my show , we also have something cooking with ……so it was really nice to see everyone last night. Jeff and I were happy to see BOTH and in the wild! (Our new friend had a bag of gummies in her purse!)

Going from the farm to work events in the city is always a big cleanup job, so thank you to my friends and for fixing this ol mama up!

“One of our ideas, moons ago, like when we first met was, it would be really cool to have a spirit brand. We’ve been approached, over the years, by different companies, much bigger kinds of companies. We would do a Zoom meeting, or we had lunch with some people once. It just never felt right. It was one of those things that I didn’t know if it was going to come to fruition.

Then, distillery opened, very near us, and if you know anything about us, we’re big on community. The Hudson Valley really has become such an important part of our life.” -

“I thought a rye was a good idea. I’ve always liked rye. The whole bonfire rye comes from the fact that I live on a farm and have a bonfire going about 24 hours a day–literally. I love the smell and feel. I love a nice sipping whisky–a nice rye will do that for me. It seemed like a great combination, the spiciness of rye, and we knew could do a good one.” - JDM
