Our flowers are blooming in our hydroponics unit at Linwood School 🌻. We experimented with French Marigolds and Dwarf Sunflowers and they are looking beautiful just in time to be transplanted into a family’s garden! 🪴 They will be a colorful and helpful addition for any vegetable garden. Did you know... Marigolds are exceptional companion plants that repel pests like nematodes, whiteflies, and aphids through scent and root chemicals? They attract beneficial insects 🐞 and pollinators 🐝 while acting as a “trap crop” for pests like slugs 🐌 . Sunflowers aren’t just pretty flowers either, they also attract pollinators and can provide free edible seeds at the end of the season! 🌱 Flowers have many benefits aside from their aesthetic looks 🧑‍🌾

Farm to table at Jospeh A. Taub school, it doesn’t get fresher than this! 🧑‍🌾🌶️

Students took part in growing peppers all winter using our Dutch Bucket system. They helped in the seeding process all the way through harvesting and tasting them 😋. For most of them it was the first time seeing a pepper plant and the ripening process, such an interesting and exciting experience 🫑🌶️🤩. Events like this take place year round, where students learn to eat healthy foods while connecting with the process of growing them.

We are very happy to show off one of our newest installs 🤩 This 142 plant aquaponics unit was built for The Arc, Ocean County Chapter in Brick. 🌱 For the past two years we have been working weekly with their Journeys and Discoveries team in our aquaponics studio at and now they finally have their own system to work with everyday! ☀️🐟

Rowan hydroponics is thriving! 🌱💧Every week Rowan’s sustainable agriculture education center is harvesting and donating hydroponic produce to their on-campus food pantry and resource center. This pantry provides free support like nonperishable food, toiletries, and school supplies to students experiencing food insecurity or financial hardship. We are very proud to be part of this program 🤩🥬
