Don’t listen to everything you hear online. Should be simple enough. All these terms put on packages don’t mean what you think. My chickens free range and are actually cage free. Case in point on pictures below. So called free range cage free store bought eggs(pic1 top/pic 2 right) vs my farm eggs.

For the ones out there that thinking farming is easy. Whether you have a hobby farm or a large scale farming operation, it is far from easy. Yes we have good days and yes we have slow days. When the bad days come or the craziness hits, it makes up and overcomes all the good days put together. We all try to keep animals healthy, equipment running or hope we have enough to get by. Some days we win and some days we fail. I don’t have much else to say as the picture says plenty…😞

Update on the kittens… yeah clearly they are doing more than fine. Sometimes they are a bit much.

Sometimes we get more help than we need from the goats. They get jealous when someone else on the farm gets grain.

Special boy requires special process to feed. Seems to enjoy the slop but sounds like a pig eating.

Well we are on day three of this lady recovering from being anemic and basically as close to death as you can be. She is getting grain and molasses water to try to boost her energy to get up and walk. Blood has returned to her eyelids which is a good sign.

Some days it’s about all the other things needing to be done when there are other things to be done on top of the other things already not done to get on the list to be done.

Hoping she is slowly getting better. Got a steroid and some iron. She is still eating and drinking and working on getting stronger. All other goats have been wormed and are now free ranging and enjoying the backyard buffet.

Off to Pol Veterinary Services to see if we can get this one feeling better.

Some of the simplest tools do the most work. What tools do you like in your farm or business. Tuesdays tool for this week is my battery air compressor. Make doesn’t matter as they all have one now but man are they handy. This goes up to 150psi and works on basically a set it and forget it till it’s full so I can work on other things while it pumps to the pressure needed.
