It started as this gorgeous "everything but the kitchen sink batt" from a yarn shop in NYC (thank you Bobby, Mary, Taylor and Sarah)

We are sad to announce that our farm manager, Louis J. Cat passed away last night.

Louie showed up at the farm the first winter we were here. He was freezing and hungry. We fed him and gave him a warm place in the barn and the rest is history.

Louie was known for climbing trees, laying in the middle of the driveway and refusing to move, "helping" Doug with whatever he was working on outside, jumping into UPS trucks when they were making a delivery and being a lap cat at bonfires.

We never knew where he came from but we were glad he was here. We are sure going to miss him and his antics.

Rest easy Louis ... we will see you on the other side of the rainbow bridge.
