Now to keep updating you on our bull buying season we would like to share our selection from the 2026 annual Atkins Delaney Hereford Bull and Female sale! Again either Angus or Hereford genetics we continue our pursuit of elite genetics as a commercial seedstock producer we want our customers to only get the best of the best! This year we chose Lot 17, a Churchill Laredo son out of an elite donor daughter of the great 19z cow(3rd high selling bull)! With a Baldy Maternal Index at 557 top 1% of the breed and CHB of $165 in the top 8% this bull will sire elite females. Semen will be available on this bull!

When people say beef is too expensive!!! Things like this happen all over the country and only the producers know. No insurance is going to pay because it’s my trailer hauling them home from the salebarn. It’s the most gut wrenching feeling when you see things like this! 11 dead 700 # top end heifers gone. And to everyone calving this time of year with these temps my heart goes out to is all. Not many in town know that even checking every hour you still get frozen ears and tails or dead calves! So when you have a situation like this take it to Jesus and let him give us the grace to get thru it!

I was told by someone to take down the images due their graphic nature. So I did my intent with this post was not for people to feel sorry for for me but to let anyone know right now if they are thinking they have lost we all do, in fact some have lost more and feel no way to turn. With that being said we should pick up our cross and take it to our lord!thanks for the comments!

We at Andersen Breeding Stock would like to thank every buyer of heifers this year! We sold the last of heifers today! We are in bull buying season and we have picked a hell of a bull to breed our heifers this year the high selling bull at Koupal’s Midwest Angus! We plan on offering as many or more heifers as this past year! We are going to have different breeding times to accommodate customers that are calving February and March!! Most heifers will be home raised and sourced from a few reputable neighbors that have excellent genetics! NOT EVERY heifer will be bred we feed cattle so only the top heifers will stay all sorted on disposition,quality, and performance!
