Please bear with us as we make a slight adjustment to our name:
We are now Riversong Farm & Gardens!
We are a working farm, but our gardens are also so special to us and a huge part of our vision for Riversong's future. Mae has been working on these gardens with her mom since she was very little, and has had the last few years since buying the farm to expand, as well, but the gardens are just itching for more to help make this place even more special for upcoming markets, festivals, private events, and other special events. They're a huge part of who we are and where we're going, and the name change has been in the backs of our minds for months. We finally feel comfortable stepping into that.
Thanks to a huge amount of help from our friend Jessica Lynn Pranger, the gardens by the barnyard and roadside paths, especially, have new life and are looking beautiful again. We spent the whole summer fighting severe drought, followed by never-ending rain, flooding, and powdery mildew, and some of the most intense pest pressure we've ever seen, to keep our pumpkin crop alive for you, and those beautiful gardens fell by the wayside in the midst of it. We were so sad the main flower gardens wouldn't be ready for your visit, but Jes spent the last few weeks before our Grand Opening w**ding, fixing borders, adding tons of color, and giving so much of her time and resources, and we wouldn't have gotten there without her. Thank you, Jes! 🧡
Thank you also to Mae's Dad and Grandpa, who helped Aaron hit the trails, paths, fencelines - and even our beloved tree bench! - hard with w**d whips, rakes, chainsaws, and shears to get the gardens and walking areas up here, as well as the property across the road, back into shape. It truly took an army to help us recover from a very difficult growing season and a year-plus of extra long work weeks at our day jobs. We are so grateful for all of your help! And thanks, Aunt Kelly, for getting us into zinnias this spring! 🧡
We're already working on improving the grounds and infrastructure for our next events, and we'd love to hear what you enjoyed most and what you'd be interested in seeing in the future. Thank you all for joining us on this new adventure. We had a blast kicking off the journey with you this past weekend, and we can hardly wait to welcome you back!
