Parrish Farms Nigerians & Lamanchas

Parrish Farms Nigerians & Lamanchas Striving to improve the Nigerian Dwarf breed! With conformation, milk, udders, and genetics. Parrish Farms is based out of Freeport IL.

***At Parrish Farms we strive for excellent health/nutrition of our stock with healthy coats, good kiddings, fast cleanings, vibrant kids at birth, and fast growing and healthy kids. The goal for Parrish Farms is to hand select genetically and/or phenotypically superior animals for our herd. Herd sires are selected with an animal mating system in mind to make the next generation as improved as pos

sible. Parrish Farms emphasizes structural correctness, maternal traits, balance, and superior pedigrees. We have been raising goats since January 2009 and registered stock since 2010. The farm consists of Registered Show, Milk, and Breeding Quality Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats (ADGA & AGS), and just in 2020 added Lamanchas since Jayedynn wanted them. The owners of Parrish Farms are Jennifer & Jayedynn PARRISH. Jennifer graduated from Iowa State University in May 2008 with a B.S. in Animal Science and a B.S. in Dairy Science and is the one who runs, owns, and manages the farm. Jennifer is also a Nutritionist specializing in goat nutrition, feeds, and minerals. Jennifer also works with dairy and beef cattle nutrition, PNP Nutrition.

Disbudding and how we do it here at PARRISH FARMS. there are many ways it can be done and by who does them but we do what works best here for our goats and us.

Safety comes first and we don’t keep horns here because of safety in our dairy goats. It’s safety for them and us. Plus with showing our herd we cannot have horns so it’s a necessity for us. Do i like doing it? no, Do i ever want to do it? no. But it is what has to be done. And we do give banamine for pain and swelling prior to disbudding. So it helps them recover. And they do not swell up.

AVAILABLE NIGERIAN BUCK KIDS. UPDATED DAMS UDDER PIC(still nursing her daughter at all times)

The buck kids are weaned from their dam and are disbudded. We are keeping one buck kid and the doe kid. She had quads and raised them herself easily.

DAM: THE SOUP VEEV FS90
Their dam’s 3rd freshening udder is below an i have to say her 5th freshening udder this year is even more amazing. This pic below is courtesy of Up North Nigerians.

Her buck kids are out of PARRISH FARMS SN APOLLO. who is a son of CH PARRISH FARMS PC PUMA FS91 and Aubrey’s Acres Saint Nick. Lots of milk and very nice udders in this breeding. Genetics in this breeding speak for them selves.

The 2 buck kids will be $600 each. I have decreased the price to $450 for easier to move. No i will not drop the price further.

Updated pic from yesterday of The Soup’s Udder below also and she’s still nursing her daughter from the quads. It’s the only goat she gets along with so she and her daughter stay together. And this is a 12-13 hr udder while her daughter has been nursing. We milk her once or twice a day depending on her daughter’s nursing and how much milk she has at the time we milk.

SOLD ….. thank you Lindi and Katie. I know he is in great hands and we can use him again anytime. And love that you have him now.

Ok yall this is a very hard decision to make but he’s a total jerk to all my other bucks and im afraid he’s going to hurt them badly.

🐐🐐THE RZ ACRES HEADMASTER 1️⃣2️⃣⏺️⏺️ OBO. but please do not low ball me. I can put him alone but really don’t want to or have the place to put him alone currently.

Please see pedigree in pics.

The genetics behind this boy are absolutely amazing but with 3 sons that are super stunning and 2 gorgeous daughters. I have decided before he breaks another of my bucks backs or worse from hitting them. I’m going to allow him to be rehomed.

This decision does not come easy but with 3 sons out of very nice does which are going to make us some amazing bucks. It’s time before he hurts my other boys and his sons.

Not the doe i was expecting to have a full term gorgeous baby doe kid last night. I thought she was bred again for June. But this baby is from Axel and just gorgeous. She had her nursed and cleaned and dry. And she will be raising her til weaning in late July to early August.

This…. I don’t know how many times i have told people not to do this!!
