Black Kite Cellars Artisan Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, hand crafted in small quantities We produce limited quantity, site specific, Pinot Noir wines.

Black Kite Cellars is dedicated to reaching the pinnacle of what Pinot Noir can be-a marvelously aromatic and flavorful wine. Our Kite's Rest Pinot Noir is a blend of three different vineyard blocks and three different clones from our estate vineyard in Anderson Valley. We also produce three block designate wines: Redwoods' Edge, Stony Terrace, and River Turn. In special years we vintify a special aged wine called "Angel Hawk". The Winery is owned by the Green and Birdsall families. Black Kite has been producing wine from it's estate vineyard, "Kite's Rest", in Anderson Valley since 2003. The winery will also be releasing a Pinot Noir from the Soberanes Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands in late 2011. The winery is named after the Black Shouldered Kite, a rare and lovely bird that is indigenous to Sonoma and Mendocino. It is also known as the White Tailed Kite.
