🧄Nearly a decade ago, my sister-in-law asked if I’d want to go in on an order of Indiana grown organic garlic for us to both plant in our gardens. That was the only time I ever purchased garlic. Every year, I save back the best of the years harvest to plant again. Last year, for a few reasons, I felt like I had the worst harvest of garlic I’ve ever grown. So, this past October, when it was time to plant- I did a few things different (like not using straw) and I’m happy to say- this years harvest is proving to be my absolute best harvest yet! Our scapes this year were overall larger and more potent and the garlic bulbs are so much larger than usual! I have one more row to harvest (the rain stopped me the other day), but the garlic is curing and will be ready to sell in just a couple weeks! 🧄

We got rained out last week, but don’t worry- we will be back at the Nashville Indiana Farmer's Market tomorrow!
I’ll be bringing our farms (August Rising Acres) fresh produce, including garlic scapes, lettuce, green onions, radishes, kale, microgreens, and fresh eggs!
