I listened to Taylor’s award acceptance speech yesterday and it really stuck with me not just personally but also in the world of goats…

Breeding goats is something like 40% craft, 30% luck, and 30% actual genetics (yes, I just made that up- but you get the point). No matter how much you plan, there are always pieces you can’t control.

I’ll be honest—sometimes I struggle to trust the process. I tend to overthink and try to control outcomes that just aren’t fully in my hands.

One of my goals this year is to simplify while still learning and improving. To bring it back to a version of the goat world that feels steady instead of overwhelming. At the end of the day, so much of this is a waiting game. I’m working on being patient, focusing on my own herd, and not getting caught up in what everyone else is doing.

Just giving myself the time to make mistakes, keep learning, and really hone the craft. 🧬⏳

The popstar took home the night’s top prize at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. In her acceptance speech, she spoke about how songwriting started out as a "hobby" for her. "Thank you for allowing me to turn my hobby into a love, into a passion, into a dream, into a career," she said.

Sweet Azalea had a really rough kidding—gotta love these FFs…. Not. The kids were presented incorrectly, which made things a bit intense and long.

She ended up having had triplet bucklings but unfortunately, we only ended up with one little man after getting everyone repositioned and helping her through. Three (or more) is not my fave for an FF!!

Now the good news—this little guy is a fighter and Azelea is recovering well. Little dude is now full of s***k and we’re optimistic he’ll keep growing and thriving despite his small start. ☺️
He already has a wonderful pet home and will be adored by many!

Venus was up next and gave us these two adorable boys!!

These handsome little guys were sired by none other than Winning Streak Bullet Time, and we are pretty excited about them already! Venus did a wonderful job, and these boys are full of personality and charm. These two Venus boys also come with a pedigree we’re really excited about!!

Their sire, Winning Streak CM Bullet Time there is a lot of proven production and consistency behind this line! Starting with his beautiful dam, Phoenix Farm Ida SpecialFX 2*M ++EE 90 whom boasts a stellar mammary system with outstanding capacity!
Venus carries some well known names as well in her pedigree. She is sired by Better Wayz EJ Rocket Man and out of Winning Streak CM Marvelous, bringing in additional Wood Bridge Farm influence through Wood Bridge Farm Count On Me and Wood Bridge Farm Undeniable for a well balanced line breeding on Count On Me!

There’s a lot of depth in this pedigree and we’re excited to see how these boys develop. One will be heading off to become a herd sire, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he does in his new home.

Juniper had her babies!

She delivered a total of three kids, but sadly the first two little boys were tiny and underdeveloped. That part never gets easier. 💔

The bright side is this absolutely adorable little doeling we ended up with — a true mini Juniper! She’s already showing tons of personality and s***k, and we’re excited to watch her grow.

We’re very thankful this sweet girl made it safely and are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for her. 💝

First up to kick off our 2026 kidding season is RoundUp TailsUp Juniper Berry!
This will be Juniper’s first kidding, and she is bred to Agape’s Prize Bleeding Heart. We’re excited to meet these kids and, of course, to finally see her freshened FF udder.
Juniper has a pedigree we’re really excited about. Her paternal granddam is Jackson’s Royal Tequila Sunrise LA: VEEE91, and we absolutely love her udder. We’re hoping that quality carries through Juniper’s sire and shows up again in this next generation. We can’t help but notice the resemblance—Juniper looks so much like Tequila Sunrise!

Think pink for us as these kiddos should be something special!! 🎀🎀

Kidding season starts this weekend, so I may have done a little last-minute supply run. Panic buying… or just being prepared? 😅

Stocked up on the essentials:
• Teat wipes and DuraCream udder balm
• Syringes and needles
• Mastitis test kits & Fight Bac
• Dog pads for kidding stalls
• Kaolin pectin
• Selenium/Vitamin E gel
• Nose bulb sucker (or whatever you call them)
• Agita fly control

(Not pictured: OB l**e, gloves, cocci prevention, towels, and a Kelly kid puller that’s on the way.)

Some of these are tried-and-true products for us, and a few are new things we’re trying this year.

Hopefully I won’t need half of it, but it always feels better having everything ready before the first doe decides it’s go time. *cough* *cough* This weekend… 😬

So thankful for the sun today!! If you know me, you know winter is by far not my favorite. Sure it's beautiful but the additional chore lists, stupid cold, and preparation for this weather gets old quickly!!
