It’s always amazing how fast these little birds get started on their journey.

Right now they’re in the brooder for about 3 weeks while they feather out and develop the ability to regulate their body temperature.

From there, they’ll head out onto pasture in our mobile coops where things really begin.

On pasture, they’re moved daily and have access to organic feed, fresh grass, sunshine, shade, bugs, worms, water and plenty of space to do what chickens do best, scratch, peck, and explore.

From start to finish, it’s a fast moving process, but one we look forward to every season.

July 17 will be our next processing date and this group will soon be feeding families who care about where their food comes from.
