Three families of various sizes need some CHRISTmas spirit. These families are among us in the community, quiet in their struggles. They feel undeserving or not good enough for help.
I’m not ok with that.
The person who is allowing me to help her make this happen for these families, feels the same way.
No one is undeserving of Christ.
These families have fallen between the cracks. They make too much to qualify for services, but not enough to survive.
The kids on these lists are not asking for UGGS, Stanley’s, or the latest electronics. One child is asking for plates and silverware for their home. Another mom asked for toilet paper y’all. TOILET PAPER!!
Yes, there are toys, and blankets, and clothes and shoes. But it’s not impossible.
We can do this alone, but we don’t want to be selfish. We know in the spirit of Christmas others want to help and don’t know where to start, whom to support, or maybe feel overwhelmed with just the idea of how others struggle.
