Snow on the Greenhouse marks a shift.
The field trip season comes to a close and the winter work on the farm begins: rebuilding compost piles, deepening beds, and preparing soil for the Spring ahead.

Our gratitude is endless towards every group that made a visit to the Worm Farm this year. Sharing our passion for reducing waste, reusing resources and recycling with purpose is at the heart of what we do.

Each visit is a reminder of why this work matters. When children and adults alike connect the dots between food waste, soil health, and environmental responsibility, the impact is real and lasting. Moments like these make us hopeful for the future and reaffirm the power of hands on education.

To our 2025 Educational Program Participants- Thank You for your time and willingness to experience the Farm.
We’re excited to continue this work as
we open bookings for our
2026 Living Soil Greenhouse Tours.

Today was a big day and we couldn’t have done it without our Worm Farm Family. 🌱

The winds were strong but the teamwork was stronger!💪🏾

This moment marks a major milestone for us. After months of preparation, planning, and hands-on labor, the NEWEST greenhouse is officially sealed! This new space will serve as the drop site for all of the compost materials that become the heart of our operation; the living soil and worm castings that feed countless plants and gardens. 🪏 🪱

We’re endlessly grateful for this community that shows up, works hard, and believes in building something greater than ourselves. The Healthy Plant Worm Farm wouldn’t exist without the spirit and support of the people behind it.

Here’s to growth - in the soil, in the greenhouse, and in the lives of everyone who believes in this vision and has followed along on the journey!

Reduce ♻️ Reuse ♻️ Recycle

Happy Earth Day! 🌎 🌳 🪴
As far as we know, everyone we know and love lives on this Earth. We want to do our part to keep on loving them and making food that nourishes them. So we're taking more steps to reduce our waste, reuse products we can, and recycle the in-between.

Last year, we also began recycling our cardboard. This means gathering, storing, and transporting it to a recycling facility. We've been keeping track and have been (during slow season) been recycling 55lbs of cardboard PER WEEK. That's another 2,860lbs of waste kept out of landfill.

Now, for a community call-out!
Gardeners! Anyone need cardboard for their plot this year? We hold cardboard in our back entryway. If it's there, you are welcome to take it any time.

Also: We are looking for anyone who may want to use our WINE BOTTLES this season. Our last Vintner's wine cellar is full (lucky them), but we would love to find someone else who can reuse them. Please comment or send us message if you are interested.

Anyway, FOOD! Today our specials are home made and veggie-centric to celebrate our planet. Happy Earth Day, ya'll!
We are happy to live here with you.

HAPPY EARTH DAY 🌱

We want to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out for our Earth Day event this past Saturday!

The turnout was incredible, and the energy was even better — nothing fills our hearts like seeing plant lovers, gardeners, and green thumbs of all ages come together to celebrate this beautiful planet.

We’re already dreaming about next year!

One of our favorite highlights?
Sharing the magic of vermicomposting and the little soil superheroes that help turn your kitchen scraps into rich, living compost that plants love. 🪱

Here’s why it’s a game changer:
• Worms speed up the breakdown of food waste.
• They create nutrient-rich castings (aka black gold for your garden!)
• It helps cut down on landfill waste — giving your leftovers a second life in the soil

It’s easy, low-maintenance, and your plants will thank you.

Stay tuned for more workshops, tips, and ways to get involved — we’re just getting started.

Happy Earth Day (every day) and thank you for the continue support ✌🏼 ❤️ 🌎

Happy Tuesday!

We are so thankful for the warm welcome as we introduce and grow our social media page. Our vision is far greater than just ourselves and we can't do it without the support of our Community.

A typical Tuesday at Healthy Plant looks like a full day of gathering. We collect Natural Food Waste for your local businesses and use it to create compost which feeds the worms. In 2024 our Worms recycled 100,000 pounds of food waste!

And just like that, we've completed the Food Loop thanks to those who have partnered with our vision!

We would like to Highlight some local businesses who have contributed to keeping our worms HAPPY and HEALTHY!

Hello and welcome to HEALTHY PLANT WORM FARM!

We are a family owned and operated Worm Farm focused on creating a sustainable future for our planet. Here we house over a million Red Wigglers and Earthworms, feeding them with the finest compost sourced directly from our community's food waste! Our worms work hard to eat the compost and in turn, enrich our soil which lands directly into your own gardens and plants.

TALK ABOUT COMPLETING THE FOOD LOOP!

We Gather, We Recycle, We Create, We Nourish... and even more than that, we educate on the ways that you can complete your own food loop at home.

You can book your own experience at the Farm by visiting our website: https://www.healthyplant.org/projects-8

Thank you for joining our journey.
We look forward to partnering with you towards
HEALTHY SOIL & HAPPY PLANTS.
