I know we’re a bit of a drive from the southern states but the barn in SE Iowa is open. We cut down the number of summer litters we had this year so we don’t have as many from a straight quantity perspective but everything that’s out on the floor is available on a first come, first serve sort of thing. Pure Chesters, pure Spots, pure Yorks, a few Durocs and some more growth oriented crosses if you’re into rate of gain type of things (they’re mostly white pigs but there are a few with some different colors on there). We did not make any cross ‘show pigs’ with this crop beings it’s our offseason. They aren’t all washed up/conditioned and they’re just eating basic feed…but you’ll know exactly what you’re getting.
Between upcoming harvest and kids/grandkids schedules, the calendar is pretty well filled in from making a trip south. But if you’re up our way and want to stop by and quick look, give us a little bit of a heads up. We’re a little over an hour from either Des Moines or Iowa City. Almost everything is available and reasonably priced (a few are already spoken for but we can point those out).
**Pictures are for attention, they are not pictures of this crop - we’re really bad photographers 🤷♂️**
