I love Sundays because they’re the only day we’re all home together all day. We dedicate them to farm work, being outside and snacking.🍓This one was extra special because it was our first full day as a fam after Aster had her first multi day sleepover at my parents’ house in Ohio. She did amazing and is such a big kid that she barely missed us.🙃

We’ll have limited fresh strawberries! So will The Lucky 8 Farm & Doyle Botts Farm 👏🏼🍓🍓🍓

We’ll also have sourdough bread, jams, pickled items, pasta sauce & red pepper spread!

One rooster was rehomed! This guy still needs a new farm! He’s a great rooster just can’t be on a farm with more than one rooster. He is good to hens and does all his rooster duties - calls them in for the night, shows them food…etc! If interested, shoot us a message!

Recently I asked Aster, “If you got to choose what we did for a day, what would you choose?” And I kid you not she said, “I’d want to go to the market!” My heart grew! We love our market.🫶🏼

We’ve worked hard all off season to offer a beautiful market each week this market season, May - October. It’s going to be magic.✨

Market season is almost here and we’re excited for the educational opportunities we have in store for this spring! Jack Stickney and Stickney Homestead are original members of the RRGFM who love to share their knowledge of mushroom cultivation. On Saturday May 9th, Jack will be leading a free workshop on the cultivation of shiitake mushrooms with tips and tricks from his 40 years of experience growing them!

This event will take place under the pavilion shelter at 607 Skylift Drive in Slade, KY. First 20 participants will get to take home a freshly inoculated log in partnership with the Livelihoods Knowledge Exchange Network and U.S. Forestry Service. We plan to bring:

Sourdough loaves
Pasta sauce
Roasted red pepper spread
Pickled green tomatoes
Limited jam flavors
Turmeric

A small offering to start the market season, but we are very excited to set-up in our hometown!

We plan to regularly set-up throughout the season- dates TBD. We’ll share when we know!

The regular market season officially opens May 15th from 4-6pm.
