Yesterday’s market was awesome to witness, I think this goes for farmers all across our area. We saw record numbers for a mid July market, why? Because once again the consumers have turned to their local farmers because of the unsure produce in the grocery store. We watched the steady pace of cars roll in with a mix of new and familiar faces all there for the same reasons to shop with their local farmers and makers, to ask them the questions face to face, something you can’t do in the grocery stores. For the families that visit the markets weekly to stock up on local goods I want to give you a huge shout out, you don’t just come when there is a pandemic, egg shortage or diarrhea lettuce, you show up for your local community every week and we want you to know it means a lot to us!! Watching parents spend time strolling through the market and broadening a child’s palate is beautiful to witness, kudos to you all! For those of you that were new this week, welcome!
