After 67 years, Valley Fig Growers is closing. We did not come to this decision lightly but the economics can no longer support continued operations due to challenging market conditions and rising operational costs. Despite our best efforts and after careful consideration of all options, we will be closing our doors on July 31, 2026. Thank you for your support over the years and your trust in us.

This dried fig has a longer stem and is used almost exclusively for fig paste. The second crop ripens later in the summer with the other fig varieties and produces upwards of 90% of the total crop.

Did you know that it takes fig trees anywhere from 5-7 years to reach fruit bearing age? Fig trees have tremendous longevity; some trees planted at the onset of California’s commercial fig production are still actively bearing fruit today, over 100 years later!
