After many years of driving into the lower 40 to start the diesel generator to put water for the stock tank for cattle and sheep I decided we needed to go with . It's always a win when you can adapt what you have to make things better-and what a great team we all were to make it happen! And it works great! Happy livestock, efficient regenerative management, and teamwork! And always great food and food pics from clients and friends-and yes are coming on fast! Buy local from farmers you know-we all make the earth better❣️

Just another award winning spring day where-IF-I had my go pro on and streamed it-I'd be..... something!!!!! Which, of course I already am-lots of all types of planting, operating all kinds of heavy farm equipment....got the tiller off and the old disc on and got the beds made-and yes those divots are not on a golf course but in the orchard and happy to say they are back in place! The last A2 Jersey dairy cow calf, wild abundant lilacs, and the new tomato house is growing fast- see you next week at the farmers market 5/9
Farm store closed this Saturday too-but call if you need an order next week please! Sometimes you gotta take a mini break✈️

So many great things happening at the farm and ranch! Come join us next Sunday for the beginning of our classes and workshops; big cattle shuffle yesterday with tagging and banding; look for them in our big 40 pasture at the middle of San Juan Valley Rd; the dairy cows are now back at Schoolhouse with the sheep-milking and beauty products very soon! Lots of meats and produce, herbs and flowers on the food hub, food coop, farm store and special order...our fast growing weather is finally here❣️ Rhubarb chips next week too! If you haven't had them you will flip-sweet, tart, crispy and chewy! Humming birds and swallows....we are so lucky!

Spring Blessings! Celebrate the Goddess of traditions past! Easter Blessings-thank you for the outpouring of birthday love and wishes and farm support... birthday month of Aires includes lots of birthday baking and a traditional Sicilian Pastiera di riso-with our own homemade ricotta, candied tangerines from greenhouse 1 and our duck eggs!!! Lots of new calves, lambs, surprise champagne with cows-the best-and more❣️here we grow....and back to work❤️

Happy Birthday to our fearless queen of everything food and ag! And a few other things too! An early morning of new lamb banding and tagging, new calves, lots of flowers and food deliveries and a mafia snag of a Philly cheese steak from and flowers to .... and the day is young! Many blessings to the finest regenerative farmer/rancher we know ( yes we got into her account-oops!) only doing great things for and so many local chefs, caterers, and of course, customers here on SJI for the past 12 years in a lifetime of agriculture-rumor had it she is making a carrot cake and lemon merengue pie.....lucky us!
