Got notified that there was a swarm on the side of the road, so we jumped in the truck to go check it out. A nice easy on. We put the queen in the box and the rest marched right in.

Got home yesterday from camping and saw one of our hives decided that there was too many and they needed to swarm, so farmer Caleb had to jump into action and gather the large swarm into a box and add it to the apiary. Was looking over our camera footage and saw that they had swarmed only 30 minutes before we got home.

Looks like this year's neighbors would like Farmer Caleb to teach them about beekeeping.

Not often I say that 42° is warm, but after the cold weather we have been having today feels amazing!!!! Sunshine and blue skies. Chickens are finally enjoying their outdoor time, bees are out getting some fresh air, we went on a nice long hike. January thaws are always nice. I'm sure the cold will be back soon unfortunately.
