🤔 There are so many decisions in farming, and pathways is one of them. We’ve chosen living pathways at our farm in an attempt to increase soil structure, decrease erosion, and minimize plastic use.

If you’ve driven by recently, you may have wondered if we’re growing hay! With the heat, the paths grew quickly. 🌿🌿🌿😅 That means mowing! But I’ve tackled them the past couple of days and it’s looking more manageable. 💪

The first of the sunflowers are coming along well—you’ll be surprised how quickly these grow! And so many other spring crops are growing too! 🌻🌱 It’s an exciting and work-filled time! I can’t wait to share the beauty with you!


ps-Pro tip, the nozzle on the gas tank can come off when refilling the mower if one’s not careful. And just a slight slosh of gas on the cuff is enough to make it time for a water break and a wardrobe change. ⛽️🤪

Nights have been chilly here, so the seedlings are tucked in for the evening under their row-cover blankets. 🌱😴 Clover the cat helped to cut the new row cover to length. There are thousands of flowers growing out in the garden now. It’s an exciting time of year!!! 🐈‍⬛💐💕
