Wet Nose Farm

Wet Nose Farm Wet Nose Farm is a small scale farm located in Front Royal, VA. Our animals are raised on pasture and GMO free grain- specializing in pork at this time.

At our farm we do not use antibiotics or steroids. The animals are kept out on our pastures where we practice rotational and mob grazing. The grains we use are all GMO free. We try to support our local agricultural system when ever possible. Our grain is purchased from a local family owned farm that prides it self on the GMO free grains that they produce. Our processors are USDA inspected and cert

ified as Humane installations. At this time we offer pasture raised Old Spot pork.Gloucester Old Spot is a heritage breed. As we move forward we will offer more products such as lamb, beef, and poultry.

Found these little guys today out in the field with everyone.

The soul survivors of our horrible fox attacks were enjoying the rain today. These two have become our barn ducks.

A barn full of hay, what a blessing. We finally had a break in the rain and they were able to get the second cut done. Excuse the messy stacking job but rain storms were moving in. I will fix it later.

Moved the girls into a fresh field today. First time this year it has been grazed. It must be pretty good they wouldn't even come to me for a bucket of grain.

Farming has been tough this year. We lost the majority of the first cut of hay. We got it baled but then it got saturated with rain. We also lost our entire poultry flock to predators.

On the bright side we had two beautiful calves born and they are doing great. The fields are looking good so hopefully we will have a good second cut on the hay. As always the pigs are enjoying life and are enjoying lounging time in the pond.

Wet and muddybday at the farm but we are so thankful for the rain that we needed so badly. The gang is doing real good after a rough start. They are in the first picture. The second ones are another surprise litter.

Had a little unplanned surprise!! A blessing is a blessing planned or not.
