Baby Update!!! Roa and E.V. are now about 4 months old. Weaned, eating hay and grain like big girls!!! Such different personalities!! Lol Roa is sweet easy-going, a little shy. While E.V.... She has to be in the middle of everything!!

Our accidental garden!! It started with some free Irises I panic planted after accidentally forgetting and cooking them in my car when we were moving in!! 😬 Every year they surprise me by coming back and finally this year...They bloomed!! Turns out they're yellow!! Then Matty begged for some sunflowers. I didn't really have a reason not to so what the heck! We'll just add them to the Irises! Lol All 3 bloomed just as the Iris flowers disappeared. The tote is an experiment with cat grass. 🤷‍♀️

Roa turned out to be an excellent road tripper. After the first few miles she quieted right down and started exploring the back of the truck. Then she watched Netflix with Matty. Eventually she made her way to the front where she sat the rest of the way home!! 😆

Roa is a purebred Nubian doeling. Her coloring is red roan and white. Yes, she has frosted tips!! She was born 3.8.23

Another new arrival!! On April 23rd we got an unexpected offer on another doeling whose sale had fallen through. We jumped at the chance and boy, am I glad we did!! She's a total sweetheart!!! However as always these things seem to come in pairs and on the way home our truck decided to brake down. 🤷‍♀️ Thankfully we were close to home so it all worked out! Introducing....Roa!!!

This has been long over due! However we have reached a few new milestones here on the farm. Things have been moving fast as of late, starting with Matty's doe Gail giving birth to twin doelings!! Unfortunately we have to take the good with the bad and her other doe Gabby lost a little buckling. Thus started the mad dash to build a Mama pen! Using old wood left over from a barn demo before we moved in we were able to build a lovely pen blending the old with the new! At least that was the plan until today... Just when we were about to move Gail and kids (Amy and Ruby) over we bought our first doeling E.V.!! Suddenly we're back to square one....er...stall one as we now need to build a 2nd one!! Oops!!
